The images depict samples of artwork created by imprisoned Irish Republicans. The text outlines the relationship between politics and art, art and identity, and independence of mind and spirit as a result of this discourse. (The photos and captions are part of the political collection of the Linen Hall Library in Belfast, Northern Ireland.) This book is a record of the project more than a work unto itself. I have published it here as an academic reference.
